Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005122824A2] According to the invention, a support (1), two extensions (2a) which protrude forward on both sides in the final lower region, and an identical shoulder rest (6) form a monolithic plastic hard shell. Vertically adjustable strips (3) that support a waist belt (4) are fixed to the extensions (2a) while a shoulder mounting (8) adjoins the shoulder rest (6) via a ball-and-socket joint (7). Said shoulder mounting (8) supports shoulder belt arrangements encompassing one respective top belt (9) and a bottom belt (10) which is joined to the top belt (9) via a buckle (11), is pulled all the way to the extension (2a) through said buckle (11), and is anchored there. A bag for carrying material that is to be transported is disposed on the front face of the support (1), in the hard shell, said bag (12) being accessible from the front, while straps (14, 15) for fastening a snowboard, snowshoes, a helmet, or other large objects are mounted on the rear face thereof. The position of said objects relative to the body of the wearer is reliably fixed by means of the stationary or rigid connection of the support (1) to the shoulder belt arrangements and the waist belt (4).
