[origin: WO2006000536A1] A door holder (1) for vehicle doors has a rigid door rebound strap (2) to be secured at one end to a vehicle longitudinal beam (4) or to the door in an articulated manner by means of a swivelling bearing (6), and a holding part (12) to be secured to the door or to the vehicle longitudinal beam (4). The rebound strap (2) is guided by the holding part (12) so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction and interacts with the holding part (12) by means of a ratchet system (16) which defines particular swivelling positions of the vehicle door (10). The holding part (12) has at least one ratchet element (18) which interacts with ratchet notches (22) of the rebound strap (2) and to which force is applied by an energy storing device, as well as a holding section (24) for fastening it to the door or longitudinal beam. The holding part (12) with the holding section (24), the ratchet element (18) and the energy storing device (20) consist of a single shaped part (26), in particular a bent spring steel wire.
