Abstract (en)
[origin: GB2415413A] Twist type security seal has insert 13 having two diametric holes 17 in line with guiding holes 19 though the housing wall. They receive a locking wire which is wound by turning with handle 15. The insert has an anti-rotational device which has six helical teeth 35 which engage with matching shoulders 37. Lid 27 covers the insert. Engraved inside it is an identification code at least partially identical to a univocal code on the housing. The length of protuberances 57 on each side of the housing avoids an element being introduced into holes 19 to lift the insert. A retainer ring 21 engages with a groove formed in the housing to prevent removal. The side wall of the housing has a weakened section which, like strip 59, breaks if an attempt is made to remove the lid. The last thee digits of the univocal serial number which is stamped on tab 45 are visible through the bottom wall of the housing.
