Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1760026A1] The method involves positioning the lift car (1) on a selected floor, and then opening the lift car door (26) and lift shaft door (24) of the selected floor. A maintenance person enters the lift car through a car cover (2) underneath a door transom of the lift car. An elevating mechanism (22) provided on a base (23) is used to elevate the maintenance person in preferred work level with respect to the open lift car door and lift shaft door. The lift car door and lift shaft door are then closed, such that the maintenance person can ride with the lift in several maintenance positions.
