Die Erfindung betrifft ein Schloss mit einer Schließeinrichtung, wie einem Bügel, einem Kloben oder dergleichen, sowie mit einem Riegel, der bewegbar ist zwischen einer Verriegelungsstellung, in der der Riegel die Schließeinrichtung verriegelt, und einer Entriegelungsstellung, in der die Schließeinrichtung entriegelt ist, wobei der Riegel in Richtung der Verriegelungsstellung vorgespannt ist. Das Schloss besitzt ferner eine Blockiereinrichtung, mittels derer der Riegel - wenn der Riegel sich in der Verriegelungsstellung befindet - gegen eine Bewegung in Richtung der Entriegelungsstellung blockierbar ist. Außerdem besitzt das Schloss eine drehbetätigbare Rotationseinrichtung. Diese besitzt zwei Steuerabschnitte, die mit der Blockiereinrichtung bzw. mit dem Riegel zusammenwirken, um aufgrund einer Drehbetätigung der Rotationseinrichtung die Blockiereinrichtung in eine Freigabestellung zu bewegen und den Riegel entgegen der Vorspannung in die Entriegelungsstellung zu bewegen.
