[origin: WO2006000568A2] The invention relates to an elastically deformable marker (1) for marking a tissue site, which can be completely implanted by means of a hollow needle and which is relaxed without the action of an external force. Said marker comprises a least one flexible wire, an elongate central marker section and a proximal and a distal end section, one of the two end sections being located on one of the two ends of the central marker section. The invention is characterized in that at least two sections of the same flexible wire or of a plurality of flexible wires are twisted together in the elongate central marker section.
