[origin: WO2005110752A2] The invention relates to a printing cylinder comprising: a) a cylindrical body (1) provided with at least one clamping channel (1 a-c) for clamping at least one printing lining (2), b) a clamping jaw (3) arranged in the clamping channel (1 a-c), and c) a clamping counter-jaw (4) which is arranged in the clamping channel (l a-c) next to the clamping jaw (3), can be pivoted in relation to the clamping jaw (3) and the cylindrical body (1) about a rotational axis (D), and comprises a pivoting surface (4d) on an outer peripheral surface. According to the invention, d) the clamping jaw (3) and the clamping counter-jaw (4) form a gap into which an end of the at least one printing lining (2) can be introduced, and e) the clamping counter-jaw (4) is supported on a supporting surface (3b) formed in the clamping channel (l a-c) during a pivoting movement with the pivoting surface (4b) thereof.
