Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006000268A1] Internal combustion engine with lubrication by circulation of oil under pressure according to the dry sump principle, in particular for an opposed cylinder engine with a crankcase with an oil suction chamber (12, 12') formed in its bottom part from which lubricant oil is conveyed via an oil recirculating pump (18) provided with an oil suction line (20) to an oil reservoir (16, 52, 54, 56), while the lubricant oil in the oil reservoir is supplied to the consumers via a main feed pump (28). It is proposed to also integrate the oil reservoir (16, 52, 54, 56), which forms the wet sump, in the crankcase of the internal combustion engine.
