Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006000523A1] The invention relates to a linear guide system for a sliding shelf in a sliding shelf system, a baking oven or the like having such a sliding shelf comprising a support element and two elongate guides (3) that extend rearwards laterally from the support element, a least one pair of stationary outer rails (9) that are mounted in the horizontal plane of the inside of the base wall, and one slide (10) on every outer rail (9), which is received on the outer rail (9) so as to be displaced along the same, engaging means (11, 14) for engaging the guide (3) of the sliding shelf with the slide (10), locking means (15, 16) for locking the slide (10) against a displacement along the outer rail (9) and adapted to lock the slide (10) in an extended position with respect to the path of travel of the sliding shelf. The aim of the invention is to provide a guide system for a sliding shelf, especially for a support for products to be cooked in a baking oven, which overcomes the known disadvantages of the prior art. The inventive system is characterized in that the locking means (15, 16) for locking the slide (10) against a displacement along the outer rails (9) is designed in such a manner as to lock the slide (10) against such a displacement when the guide (3) of the sliding shelf is disengaged from the slide (10) and as to unlock the slide (10) so as to be displaced along the outer rail (9) when the guide (3) of the sliding shelf is engaged with the slide (10).
