[origin: WO2005124946A1] The invention relates to a hammer brush (22) which can be pivotably mounted onto a brush holder (24) of an electric machine (10), and comprising a leaf-spring (36). The leaf-spring (36) comprises a securing section (38) for anchoring onto the brush holder (24), an arm (40) which is connected to the securing section (38) whereon a carbon brush (30) is fixed, and a section (44) which is curved towards an end of the arm (40) towards the securing section (38). The section (44) is curved towards the side of the arm (40) facing away from the carbon brush (30) and is embodied in an elastic manner.
