[origin: WO2006000432A1] The invention relates to a control device of an adjusting device of a motor vehicle, comprising a sensor for generating a signal depending on the motion of the drive of the adjusting device and an arithmetic unit which is adapted to perform an evaluation function of a variable in the time-scale range of the transformed signal for controlling the drive. This function is used to control an adjusting device of a motor vehicle, especially an automotive seat adjusting device, a window lifter or a door opener. According to the inventive method, a signal generated depending on a drive motion of a drive of the adjusting device is transformed. The arithmetic unit is preferably provided with a control function for controlling the drive depending on a variable in the time-scale range of the transformed signal.
