[origin: WO2005115052A1] The invention relates to a capacitor microphone comprising a microphone housing having a sound inlet and a membrane of a counter electrode associated with the membrane at a small distance from said membrane. The aim of the invention is to provide a capacitor microphone having extremely compact dimensions and a high signal-to-noise ratio without detracting from electroacoustic parameters. According to the invention, the microphone housing consists of two housing parts. The second housing part has a diameter which is larger than the first housing part and the second housing part is arranged on the first housing part in the form of a cap or sleeve and the edge of the membrane is folded back over the edge of the first housing part and fixed to the outside of the first housing part.
