Abstract (en)
The unit has a guard rail with a bent pipe (10) for a safety unit and a fastening device (12) e.g. fastening eye, for fastening the corner unit at a stationary unit. The fastening device is additionally formed with a fall damper (16). The device is designed as a single piece with a base plate (14). The fall damper absorbs a part of the drop energy effected on the corner unit when catching a falling person by the guard rail.
