Abstract (en)
Pressing apparatus for plug-in connectors (10) for hoses (11) comprises spreader jaws (9) which produce a groove in the connector which grips the material of the hose. A sensor (13) mounted in the jaws measures the progress of deformation. An independent claim is included for a method for pressing plug-in connectors for hoses in which the force used in deformation is measured and adjusted according to the thickness of the walls of the connector and hose.
