Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1762645A1] An air jet (10) is used to move the yarn (71) from a yarn guide (70) into the gap (100) between the needle beds (80, 80'). A pneumatic actuator (40) moves the jet from a rest position to the working position near the gap (100). The jet mounting is spring loaded (21) and in addition to a longitudinal motion (18) the jet swings (17) to ensure that it does not collide with other machine parts. A single valve can control the air supplies (90, 91) to the jet (10) and the actuator (40).
