[origin: WO2005097057A1] The invention relates to O/W gel compositions containing (a) 0.05 - 5 wt. % of at least one polymer gel former selected from the group comprising homopolymers or copolymers of acrylic acid and/or acrylic amide and derivatives thereof, (b) 0.1 -10 wt. % of at least one wax component having a melting point of at least 30 DEG C, (c) 1 - 30 wt. % of at least one oil component which is liquid at 25 DEG C and (d) 60 - 95 wt. % of water, under the proviso that the composition does not contain any anionic or cationic emulsifiers/surfactants. The invention also relates to the use of the composition and to a method for the production thereof.
