Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006005146A2] Method for reducing energy consumption in a laundry machine of the automatic type and comprising: a washing means (L) to be rotatively driven by an electric motor (3) during the agitation and spinning phases, and a control means (4) which is operatively associated with the electric motor (3) so as to instruct energization thereof. Said method comprises the steps of: providing energization of the electric motor (3) upon start of each rotation of the washing means (L) in a direction, with a certain percentage of the effective voltage of the electric power supply; maintaining the full energization of the electric motor (3) during a predetermined period of time with an effective voltage at least equal to the certain percentage of the effective voltage of electric power supply to allow the electric motor (3) and the washing means (L) to reach a desired rotation regime; and adjusting the effective voltage applied to the electric motor (3) to a value sufficient to maintain a desired rotation regime of the washing means (L).
