Abstract (en)
The osteosynthesis component (1) consists of a plate (2) and screws (3) made from a biocompatible material such as stainless steel or titanium. At least one of the screw holes (4) in the plate has its inner surface in the form of a tool (5) that is capable of cutting a spiral groove in a screw head. The hole surface has teeth and a channel for removing the material from the cut groove, which is made in an over-moulded polymer layer.
