Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1764300A2] The method involves connecting an anchor chain (2) with points of a ship (1) provided at a port side and at a starboard side through two cords. The anchor chain is guided upto the ship that is anchored with a bow anchor, and the two cords have elastically rotatable units. A resistance body (3) is connected with the cords and with the anchor chain if necessary, and the cords are connected with the chain directly or through the body. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method of reducing a swing of a ship such as sailing yacht.
