Abstract (en)
The power cord (3) enters the iron housing (1) through a support (6) comprising a pivoted tubular body (60) and a spring-loaded guide (61) that can be extended from it. Grooves in the surface of the guide hold it in the retracted position inside the body when not deployed, and it is released by a catch (67). The cord is stowed when the iron is not in use by retracting the guide, folding the support against the iron's rear face with its upper end in a recess (7), and winding the cord round the iron's housing behind the sole plate.
