Abstract (en)
The device has rotary machines (10, 27, 41), whose rotors (18,28) are coupled with one another in an axially aligned manner. One of the machines is positioned by a thrust bearing on a base (24). The machines (27, 41) are attached to respective carriages (36, 48), which are movable along the rotary axis (21) opposite to the stationary rotary machine (10). The rotors of the rotary machine are coupled with one another by a flange connection.
