Abstract (en)

The headlight (10), comprising a reflector (12), a light source (14) and a multi-position mask (16) with a shaped upper edge, and a convergent lens (20), has the upper edge of the mask made symmetrical relative to its median plane so that it can move in its own plane between two positions, corresponding to right- or left-hand driving. The shaped upper edge of the mask is produced by a sliding shutter that is moved in a rail by an actuating lever (40) and guide rod (42).
