[origin: WO2006000724A1] The invention relates to a method of tearing down part of a building and to a device for implementing same. The inventive method is characterised in that: an inflatable structure (1) is inserted into the part (B) of the building that is to be torn down, such as to line same and form an envelope; if necessary, the structure (1) is secured; the structure (1) is subsequently inflated with the pressure being adjusted in order to balance the forces; the necessary part of the building is then torn down from the top to the bottom of the inflated structure (1); and, following the removal of the part, the structure (1) is deflated and removed.
