Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1767122A1] The lounger (10), comprising a rectangular frame with a headboard (14) at one end, has an adjustable surface created by a series of transverse hinged slats (18), each made up of a support (18a) and a body section (18b). The surface adjustment is controlled by a mechanism (22) that can move an end slat (26) relative to the headboard to create a curve. The foot end of the adjustable surface can also be moved by levers to create a raised leg rest.
