Abstract (en)
The pressure strip (4) used in bending the printing plates, is able to execute relative movement with at least one degree of freedom, relative to the hold-down plate (3). The pressure strip is moved by a linear drive (7). This exerts the required, uniformly-distributed clamping force over the whole length of the pressure strip, to fix the printing plate (2) onto the bending table (1). The linear drive moving the pressure strip at right angles to the hold-down plate, is a fluid-filled, radially-expansible tube (7) : The tube intervenes between the hold-down plate and the pressure strip. The fluid is compressed air, the tube a silicon rubber tube. The pressure strip comprises a spring and plastic strip. The spring is fastened at one long side to the hold-down plate and the tube is located between a second long side and the hold down plate. The tube is housed in a groove in the hold-down plate, such that when expanded, its drive direction is defined. A spacer-holder (8) is provided on the hold-down plate, to assure defined clearance between it and the bending table.

Biegemaschine, insbesondere zum Biegen von Druckplatten (2), die in Druckmaschinen verwendet werden, wobei eine Druckleiste (4), die die erforderliche Klemmkraft während des Biegevorgangs auf die Druckplatte (2) ausübt, relativ zu einer Niederhalterplatte (3) bewegbar ist, so dass über die gesamte Länge der Druckleiste (4) eine gleichmäßige Klemmkraft auf die Druckplatte (2) wirkt.
