[origin: EP1767696A1] Railway sleeper made of concrete comprises an elongated sleeper body (1) having two head parts (2) that have a rectangular horizontal projection with a width (B) corresponding to 13-20% of the length (A) of the sleeper body and a length (C) corresponding to 20-30 of the length of the sleeper body. An independent claim is also included for a railway track comprising railway sleepers separated by a distance corresponding to 130-155% of the width of the head parts. Preferred Features: The width of the head parts corresponds to 17-18 or 15-16 of the length of the sleeper body. The length of the head parts corresponds to 24-26 of the length of the sleeper body.
