Abstract (en)
The main body (1) is a hollow sphere. It includes handrail fastenings (2, 3), each with its head (4, 5) inserted into a slot (6, 7) in the sphere. Each is prevented from pulling-out of the slot, by turning it. Each can be swung through an angle in the slot. The fastening includes: a head flattened on two sides, a rectangular section in the slot and a threaded shaft (10, 11) projecting externally from the sphere. The width of the head in the slot is slightly less than that of the slot. The sphere is in two halves; its is welded together and then polished.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verbindungselement für rohrförmige Handlaufteile mit einem kugelförmigen Grundkörper (1) und mindestens einem im Grundkörper (1) schwenkbar angeordneten stiftförmigen Befestigungselement (2, 3). Dass der Grundkörper (1) ist erfindungsgemäß als Hohlkugel ausgebildet und das mindestens eine Befestigungselement (2, 3) enthält einen Kopf (4, 5), der in einen Schlitz (6, 7) des als Hohlkugel ausgebildeten Grundkörpers (1) einsteckbar ist und durch Drehung innerhalb des Grundkörpers (1) gegen Herausziehen sicherbar ist.
