Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1768070A2] The method involves determining a statistical value from a temporal duration of a preset operation phase. The value is utilized for determining a time point in an independent structure of a connection of an on-board unit (2) in a motor vehicle to a background system of an automatic toll system. A predetermined number of maximum values and minimum values of the temporal duration of the phase are excluded in the determination of the statistical value. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for determining a time point in an independent structure of a connection of an on-board unit in a vehicle to a background system of a toll system (2) a vehicle on-board unit for a toll system with a device for determining a time point.
