Said device comprises a first substantially triangular, electrically conducting antenna section (10) for transmitting and/or receiving HF signals; at least one second, third and fourth antenna section (10) which substantially correspond to the first antenna section (10) and form a polygon, with one point (12) of the triangle each being positioned approximately in the are of the center (11) of the polygon and an antenna axis (14) intersecting the center; and a support device (15) arranged substantially perpendicular to the antenna axis (14), the points (12) of the triangle of the triangular antenna sections (10) - which starting from the center (11) at least partially form a funnel-shaped structure on the side facing away from the support device (15) - are contacted with HF signal ports (15') of the support device (15) in the area of the center (11) of the polygon, and two diametrically opposite antenna sections (10) each forming an antenna element. The invention also relates to a method for transmitting/receiving electromagnetic HF signals.
