In a press arrangement for dewatering a fibrous sheet, comprising a central roller (3) forming two press nips with two counter-pressure units, where a water absorbing dewatering belt (8, 9) passes around the counter-pressure units and a central belt (2) passes around the central roller, the central belt has a roughness of at least 2 mu m. An independent claim is included for a method for reconstructing a press arrangement for use as above, where (a) the press arrangement originally comprises a central roller (3), counter-pressure units, press nips and a water absorbing dewatering belt (8, 9) as above, and at least the second counter-pressure unit in the material flow direction is formed by a cylindrical pressing roller and (b) the reconstruction method involves replacing the second counter-pressure unit with a shoe-press roller (4) and guiding a central belt (2), having a roughness of at least 2 mu m, around the central roller.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Pressanordnung zur Entwässerung einer Papier-, Karton-, Tissue- oder einer anderen Faserstoffbahn (1) in einer Maschine zur Herstellung und/oder Veredlung derselben mit einer Zentralwalze (3), die mit zwei Gegenpresseinheiten zwei Pressspalte bildet, wobei die Gegenpresseinheiten von einem wasseraufnehmenden Entwässerungsband (8,9) und die Zentralwalze (3) von einem Zentralband (2) umschlungen sind. Dabei soll die Zweiseitigkeit der Faserstoffbahn (1) dadurch vermindert werden, dass das Zentralband (2) eine Rauhigkeit von mindestens 2 Mikrometer aufweist.
