Abstract (en)
Apparatus for producing a web of fibrous material comprises a press zone (26) through which the web (22) is passed between a permeable structured belt (18) and a permeable unstructured support belt (28), a drying cylinder (42) with a press nip (44) through which the web is passed together with the structured belt, and a calender (64) through which the web is passed after leaving the drying cylinder. Independent claims are also included for: (1) producing a tissue paper web by pressing the web between a permeable structured belt and a permeable unstructured support belt, drying the web on a heated surface and calendering the web; (2) hygiene paper, e.g. toilet paper, cosmetic tissue paper or paper handkerchief paper, produced as above.
