[origin: WO2006012856A1] The present invention concerns a roller blind system for a vehicle, comprising a roll of fabric, one end of which is attached to a roller tube (10) and the other end of which is connected to a tensioning hoop (14), and also comprising a coaxial roller shaft (12) that is accommodated in the roller tube and is connected thereto by way of a torsion spring (16), a drive device being provided for actuating the roll of fabric, said drive device comprising a gearwheel (20) that is coaxially connected to the roller shaft and a toothed belt (18) that is connected to the tensioning hoop. According to the invention, the toothed belt is an open, flexible toothed belt (18) which is guided so that it is rigid against pressure in a guide rail (30) and which has a first toothed belt end (24) which is connected to the tensioning hoop (14) and a second toothed belt end which is turned around the gearwheel (20) in the direction of the first toothed belt.
