[origin: WO2006010402A1] The invention relates to a double headlight for vehicles (1), comprising two light units (3, 4), adjacently arranged in a housing (2), each with a light source (9), arranged in a reflector (8) and a light guide element (5, 6), arranged in front of the light unit (3, 4), at least partly enclosing the same, perpendicular to the irradiation direction thereof, whereby the light units (3, 4) are adjacently arranged, transverse to a vehicle longitudinal axis (13) and offset relative to each other, parallel to the vehicle longitudinal axis (13). The light units (3, 4) extend into a common open housing chamber (21) in the irradiation direction, said light guide elements (5, 6) being arranged parallel to the vehicle longitudinal axis (13) for each light unit (3, 4) at a clear separation (16, 17, 18) from each other.
