[origin: EP1772129A2] The folding wheelchair frame has, on each side, a chassis frame (3) supporting the front steerable wheels (1) and rear wheels (2). There is a foldable seat frame attached to each side chassis frame. A side frame (4) is provided connected to a scissors linkage (5) to support the seat. The side frames are positioned inwardly of the chassis frames and can be height adjustable.
