Abstract (en)
The reel changer (1) for a printing machine has a protection device (3) fastened on a sliding platform (2) and on a support device (5), and which is variable in its surface extent for protection of the region between the support device and the sliding platform on the loading side (12). The protection device is provided on both sides of the sliding platform and/or above the sliding platform. The protection device is formed in such a way that it guards against fractured pieces of a bursting reel core.

Der erfindungsgemäße Rollenwechsler sieht eine Schutzvorrichtung, beispielsweise in Form eines Fangnetzes (3) auf der Beladeseite des Rollenwechslers vor, wobei die Schutzvorrichtung immer dann die Beladeseite (12) zu einem gesicherten Raum (7) macht, wenn sich die Restpapierrolle (6) einem kritischen, d.h. bruchgefährdetem Durchmessermaß nähert.
