Drive unit, especially for a lifting gear, comprises two motors that each have an overriding clutch (4) with a blocking mechanism (16) designed so that it blocks connection after disconnection for as long as the drive (3) of the corresponding motor assigned the overriding clutch is idle and removes the blocking when the drive is operational. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Antriebseinheit (1), insbesondere eines Hubwerks, mit zwei Motoren (2), die auf einen gemeinsamen drehenden Abtrieb (5) der Antriebseinheit (1) einwirken, denen eine Überholkupplung (4)im Kraftfluss vom Antrieb (3) bis zum Abtrieb (5) zugeordnet ist. Es ist Aufgabe der Erfindung eine Antriebseinheit zu schaffen, bei der im Falle eines Ausfalls eines Motors sowohl die Hubfunktion als auch die Senkfunktion erhalten bleiben. Die erfindungsgemäße Lösung sieht vor, dass beide Überholkupplungen (4) jeweils einen Sperrmechanismus (16) aufweisen, der eine Einkupplung solange sperrt, wie der Antrieb (3) des entsprechenden Motors (2) stillsteht und die Sperrung aufhebt, wenn der Antrieb (3) des Motors (2) sich dreht. Ein entscheidender Vorteil der Erfindung liegt darin, dass im Falle einer Blockade selektiv das Einrücken der Überholkupplung gesperrt wird.
