Abstract (en)

An apparatus for controlling an error using reserved bits including a mask indicator, a pre-decoder and a decoder. The mask indicator is operable to provide mask data. The pre-decoder is operable to mask reserved bits of received data using the mask data. The decoder is operable to decode the pre-decoded reserved bits of received data.
