[origin: WO2006024755A1] The invention relates to a spray nozzle consisting of: a cylindrical swirl chamber (1) comprising an upper wall (2a) and a lower wall, a spray liquid inlet (3) which opens into the swirl chamber along an axis that causes the liquid to flow tangentially, and a downwardly-widening trumpet-horn-shaped diffuser which is coaxial to the swirl chamber. The invention is characterised in that the inner face of the upper wall (2a) of the swirl chamber comprises a central dip and a certain number of grooves (6) which are disposed radially in a first sector (4a) corresponding to the start of the tangential flow path of the spray liquid into the swirl chamber, while a second sector (4b), complementary to the first (4a), has no grooves. The invention also relates to a seawater desalination plant which uses one such spray nozzle.
