[origin: WO2006012962A2] The invention relates to a cooling system for a motor vehicle comprising at least one heat exchanger (8, 9), particularly a radiator, which is flowed through by a medium, particularly coolant serving, for example, to cool an engine (2), and which is flowed through by a cooling air flow that, according to the speed of the motor vehicle, is influenced by an air conveying device (4). This air conveying device is, in an axial direction, situated at a distance from the heat exchanger (8, 9) and has a housing (6) that outwardly delimits the space between the heat exchanger (8, 9) and the air conveying device (4). In order to create a cooling system that has a high efficiency and enables a sufficient flow of cooling air under different operating conditions, at least one air passage opening (11), which can be closed by a closing device (14), is provided inside the housing (6) between the heat exchanger (8, 9) and the air conveying device (4).
