[origin: WO2006010428A1] The invention relates to a vehicle door (1) comprising a metallic structure (2) provided with an outer metal door plate (3) and an inner metal door plate (4), and a module carrier (8) comprising functional elements (10) arranged thereon. Said functional elements can be connected to the vehicle body (15) by means of at least one cable (17) for the transmission of information and/or energy. The inventive vehicle door is sealed in relation to the vehicle body in the region of the door opening, by means of an outer sealing plane (12) and an inner sealing plane (13). According to the invention, the cable (17) can be guided out of the module carrier (8), at least partially between the outer sealing plane (12) and the inner sealing plane (13), into the hinge region of the door opening (A-column (18)).
