Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006005753A1] The invention relates to methods and devices for positioning web processing tools (06.x; 11.x; 12.x) and for presetting a width of cut of partial webs (01.x; 01'x), of a web (01) passing through a printing press. When longitudinally cutting the web to be cut, the longitudinal cutting device (06.x) and, optionally, other processing tools (11.x; 12.x) are positioned by a control and/or arithmetic unit (16), and a width of cut (b01.x) of two partial webs is deliberately selected so that it is different.
