[origin: WO2006005328A1] The invention relates to an oil module for an internal combustion engine, comprising an oil filter, an oil/water heat exchanger, said heat exchanger being embodied as a separate component with a joint surface connected to a corresponding joint surface on the oil module housing and a water pump, whereby the water pump has a rotational axis, such as the rotational axis for the rotor of a rotary pump and the joint surface of the heat exchanger is at a 90° angle to the rotational axis of the water pump, the heat exchanger being a closed oil/water heat exchanger.
