[origin: WO2006018534A1] The invention relates to a device for the detection of fluorescence emitted by chromophoric elements contained in the wells of a multiwell plate. The inventive device comprises means (54, 56) which are built into the transparent bases of the wells (12) of the plate (10) in order to limit the well penetration depth of a light beam used to excite the chromophoric elements (38) which are fixed to the bases (14) of the wells.
