Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1775253A2] The method involves selection of number of lifting devices for lifting a load (14) and can be connected together in series through supply line (21). The control of the lifting devices in the lifting system (11) can be initialized by a control line. Lifting device is positioned at an open end of the series, a level is simulated at the inlet of the controller (19) and first node address is generated and stored. The lifting device is defined as the master lifting device with the first node address. Afterwards an outlet of the controller of the first lifting device is switched and a level lies at an inlet of the following lifting device (12b, 13b) and an incremental node address in the following lifting device is generated and stored. The first lifting device notifies a signal, so that the lifting device stores the assigned node address.
