Flow channel (10) has a protective layer (18), which is applied by means of a gaseous phase separation procedure. The turbine blade e.g. a guide blade or a rotor blade surface is coated at least partly by the protective layer. The blade area (14) of the turbine blade is coated by the protective layer. An independent claim is also included for the coating method.
