Abstract (en)
An apparatus for cooling and/or freezing and defrosting, provided with a first pump circulation circuit including a first evaporator device (6.1) and a first condenser device (8), a cooling medium present in the first circuit, and a first pump device (34) for circulating the cooling medium in the first circuit. The apparatus is further provided with a second pump circulation circuit which is in fluid communication with the first circuit and comprises a first thawing device (50), and a second pump device (38) for circulating the cooling medium in the second circuit. The apparatus is arranged for, in a second mode, allowing the cooling medium to flow from the second pump device (38) via the second circuit to the first thawing device (50), and, in a first mode, preventing the cooling medium from being supplied to the first thawing device, while in the first mode the apparatus is used for cooling and/or freezing and in the second mode the apparatus is used for defrosting. The apparatus is arranged such that the cooling medium is supplied from the first circuit to the second pump device (38) with a pressure which is lower than the condensation pressure in the first condenser device (8) and is higher than the evaporation pressure in the first evaporator device (6.1).
