[origin: EP1775692A2] The procedure is characterised in that it comprises an initial phase using automatic means to detect the movement of pedestrians in the vicinity of the vehicle junction and a second phase in which the vehicle driver is provided with information on the movement of pedestrians in the vicinity of the junction. The device comprises a pedestrian movement sensor system, a central control unit for the signal captured by the sensor system and a system for transmitting information to the driver.
