[origin: EP1626024A1] In a spinning unit (1) for winding a spun yarn (2) onto a bobbin (3) or bobbin housing (4), including a friction drive (5) for the bobbin and a changing device (7), the changing device is driven by a non-slip (preferably shape- or friction-keyed) drive transmission (8) from the bobbin, in such a way that the winding ratio remains constant. An independent claim is included for a spinning machine having at least one spinning site with a bobbin unit as above.
