[origin: WO2006015508A1] According to the invention, a web of material (11) is guided in a sandwich-type manner between two belt conveyors (5, 7) in a processing plant (1) for webs of textile material (11). Air is blown through slot-shaped openings (13) or nozzles onto the rear sides of the two opposite strands (5a, 7a) of the belt conveyors (5, 7) while air is suctioned off at a distance therefrom by means of adequate slot-shaped openings (15) which face each other. The delivered air that accelerates on the surface of the strands (5a, 7a) or on the web of material (11) is deflected perpendicular to the direction of travel and temporarily sucks in the web of material (11) at the top or bottom, resulting in the textile material being loosened.
