Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006015957A1] The invention relates to a door arrester (1) for vehicle doors comprising a rigid door rebound strap (2) that, at one end, is to be fastened in an articulated manner to a vehicle bearer or to the door via a pivot bearing (6), and comprising a retaining part (4) to be fastened to the door or to the vehicle bearer. The rebound strap (2) is guided through the retaining part (4) in a manner that enables it to move relative thereto in its longitudinal direction and it interacts with the retaining part (4) via a detent device (12) that defines specified pivotal positions of the vehicle door. The detent device (12) comprises at least one detent element (14), which is guided in the retaining part (4), is subjected to the action of an energy accumulator (16) and which, as a result, interacts in a locking manner with detent locations (18) of the rebound strap (2). The detent element (14) is provided in the form of a sliding body that acts with sliding friction against the rebound strap (2). In addition, the detent element (14), on the one hand, can rotate in the retaining part (4) about a rotation axis (20), which is perpendicular to the rebound strap (2) and which corresponds to direction of detent action and, on the other hand, is guided in a manner that prevents it from rotating relative to the rebound strap (2).
